“It’s hard to lock someone out of your reality when they have been living in it for so long. They open doors that shouldn’t be opened, walk down corridors even you haven’t dared go down. They discover every nook, every shadowed corner and locked door.. Before you know it they know the layout better then you do. Then the time comes that they don’t know whether this home is for them anymore, and walk out. So you wander the hallways alone, gradually start tidying up the changes that have been made by them. Slowly you begin to make your house your home again. You lock all the doors to keep yourself safe from them ever returning. But they know all the hidden doors and windows. so they keep sneaking back at will. Each time, they leave open the entry so the wind gets in and messes up the room. So every time they leave again you have to go back and tidy what was damaged.”
